Make a Referral

Physicians, therapists, psychiatrists, schools, and other providers can refer clients ages 8 and older to Dr. Ricki Walker for autism and ADHD evaluations and other psychological testing, including neuropsychological measures of attention, memory, and executive functioning. Send your referral through our secure form and we'll reach out to your client to schedule a testing intake.

What we evaluate

How testing works

  1. Intake session

We review your client's background and the referral question, and choose the right tests.

  2. Testing session (2 to 5 hours)

Standardized psychological tests and questionnaires, typically 1 to 2 weeks after the intake.

  3. Feedback session

About 2 to 3 weeks after testing, we review the written report and recommendations with your client.

Secure referral form

The form opens in a new tab and takes about 5 minutes. It has four short sections: you, your client, the referral question, and consent. You'll see a confirmation message when it's submitted.

Please make sure your client, or their parent or guardian, knows about the referral and has agreed to be contacted. Don't send referral information by regular email.

Questions from providers

Does my client need a referral to be seen?
No. Clients can also book a testing intake on their own. A referral helps us understand the question you want answered and coordinate care with you.
What ages do you evaluate?
Children, teens, and adults ages 8 and older.
Is remote testing available?
Remote testing is limited and considered case by case.
Is testing covered by insurance?
Many insurance plans cover psychological testing. See Fees and Insurance for the plans we accept and self-pay rates.
How soon are results available?
Standard results are reviewed in a feedback session about two to three weeks after testing. Same-day results are available for certain evaluations. More on same-day results.
Do you provide full neuropsychological evaluations?
Dr. Walker is a licensed psychologist, not a board-certified neuropsychologist. Her evaluations can include neuropsychological measures of attention, memory, and executive functioning as part of autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning, and cognitive evaluations. Referrals for suspected dementia, brain injury or concussion, stroke, seizures, or other neurological conditions are better directed to a board-certified neuropsychologist or neurologist.
Will you share results with me?
With your client's written permission, we can share the results and recommendations with you.
How do I send records?
Fax prior evaluations, school records, or medical records to (720) 707-1632. Please don't send records by regular email.
