Our approach
We take an evidence-based approach that integrates principles from cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal process, and mindfulness. We honor the complexity of being human. Identity, relationships, stress, physical health, and life transitions all play a part, and we support clients in building self-awareness, self-compassion, and sustainable motivation.
What kinds of concerns do you help with?
Our therapists work with teens and adults on depression, anxiety, eating disorders and body image, challenges at school or work, relationship problems, trauma, grief, identity, and cultural stress. All of our clinicians offer LGBTQIA+ affirming care.
What happens at the first appointment?
Your first appointment is a diagnostic assessment, or intake. Your therapist will learn about your history, current concerns, and goals, and together you will make a plan for therapy.
How do I know which therapist is right for me?
When you submit a therapy inquiry, the office will talk with you about your concerns, goals, and insurance, and help match you with the right provider. You can also read about each clinician on
Our Team.
How often are therapy sessions, and for how long?
Sessions typically last 45 to 60 minutes and occur every 1 to 2 weeks. Goals can often be met in as few as five or six sessions, or work may extend over several years, depending on your needs and the goals you set.
How do I ask about therapy?
Please use the secure contact form to submit a therapy inquiry. The office will discuss availability and provider fit with you. Therapy appointments aren't booked directly through the scheduler.

Do you offer couples therapy?
Yes. Couples therapy helps partners experiencing relationship distress, including intimacy, sexual, and communication difficulties, with a treatment plan built around clear goals.
Do you offer online therapy?
Yes. Therapy is available in person in Arvada or online for clients in Colorado. Dr. Walker is a PSYPACT provider, so online care with her may also be available in participating PSYPACT states.
What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapy that helps your brain process experiences, memories, or feelings that feel stuck, so reminders no longer bring up the same distress. It uses eye movements, tactile sensations, or sounds to support that processing. EMDR is offered by Dr. Walker and Kaela Little.
What is NuCalm?
NuCalm is a clinical system that helps your mind and body relax within minutes by shifting your nervous system into its rest-and-recover mode. It may improve mood, sleep quality, and energy, and lower stress. A 60-minute session is $100.
Can I use insurance for therapy?
Coverage depends on your clinician, plan, and benefits. Dr. Walker and Kaela Little accept insurance, with different in-network plans. Please review
Insurance and Fees and confirm your benefits before a session.
Does contacting the office start services?
No. Email inquiries and phone consultations regarding services are not an agreement of services.
What is your cancellation policy?
Because demand for appointments is high, please give at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
